Word to PDF
A cover letter or proposal that keeps its fonts and spacing on every screen.
Private: your files never leave this deviceNothing is uploaded or stored on a serverWorks right here in your browserAdd a .docx file to start.
Make PDF draws each page as an image with an invisible text layer, so text stays searchable. Print, then Save as PDF gives vector text with the browser's own page breaks.

Good to know
- Fit width shrinks wide tables and pictures so nothing is cut off at the right edge.
- Headings stay with the text that follows them, and table rows are never split across pages.
- Standard quality (150 dpi) reads well on screen; Print (300 dpi) is sharper on paper but makes a bigger file.
- Pictures keep the size they have in the document, up to the width of the page.
Questions people ask
How do I convert a Word document to PDF?
Choose the .docx file. The preview shows the pages; set the page size and margin, press Make PDF and download the file. Everything runs in your browser.
Will the PDF look exactly like the document in Word?
Close, but not identical. Text, headings, lists, tables, links and pictures come across. Word's exact fonts, headers and footers, columns, text boxes and comments are not kept, and pages break where the text fills the page you choose. For an exact copy, use Save as PDF in Word itself.
Can I convert an old .doc file?
No. Only .docx files (Word 2007 and later) can be read. Open the .doc in Word or another word processor, save it as .docx and add that.
Can I select and search the text in the PDF?
Yes. Each page is an image with an invisible text layer on top, so search, select and copy work. Text in scripts outside Western European fonts, such as Tamil, is in the image only; use Print, then Save as PDF, to keep it as real text.
Are my PDF files uploaded?
No. Every step runs inside your browser with the pdf-lib and pdf.js libraries. Files never leave your device, there is no size or count limit beyond your computer's memory, and nothing is stored when you close the tab.
