How to extract pages from a PDF

  1. Add the PDF

    Choose a file or drop it on the box. The page count appears once it is read.

  2. List the pages

    Type numbers and ranges, for example 1-3, 8. Tick Into one PDF for a single file.

  3. Extract and download

    Press Extract and download the file, or the zip when there are several.

Good to know

  • An open range such as 12- takes page 12 to the end, handy for appendices.
  • The same page can appear twice: 1, 1, 2 repeats the cover.
  • Files are named after the original plus -selected, or the page numbers when split into several.
  • To pick pages by eye, Organize PDF shows thumbnails and lets you delete the ones you do not want.

Questions people ask

How do I save only certain pages of a PDF?

Add the file, type the pages you want in the Pages to extract box, keep Into one PDF ticked and press Extract. The download has just those pages, in the order you typed them.

Can I get each page as a separate file?

Untick Into one PDF: each range you typed becomes its own file, and Download all gives a zip. For every page as its own file, use Split PDF with Single pages.

Does the order I type matter?

Yes. 5, 1-2 makes a PDF with page 5 first, then pages 1 and 2, so you can reorder while extracting.

Is the quality kept?

Yes. Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.

Are my PDF files uploaded?

No. Every step runs inside your browser with the pdf-lib and pdf.js libraries. Files never leave your device, there is no size or count limit beyond your computer's memory, and nothing is stored when you close the tab.
