How to add text to a photo
Pick a wish or start plain
Choose a ready wish such as Happy Pongal or роЗройро┐роп родрпАрокро╛ро╡ро│ро┐ роиро▓рпНро╡ро╛ро┤рпНродрпНродрпБроХро│рпН, or Blank. Each comes with a colour background, so you can use it without a photo.
Add your photo and words
Add a photo, tap a text to change the words, the name, font, colour, outline and shadow. Add more text or a sticker such as a lamp, heart or star.
Download or share
Pick JPG or PNG and the size, then download it or share it straight from your phone.
Good to know
- Every ready wish works without a photo too: it has its own colour background.
- Change the name in the From line to your own family name before sharing.
- For Tamil words, pick Tamil serif, Tamil sans, Mukta Malar, Baloo Thambi or Catamaran so every letter shows correctly.
- White text on a bright photo reads best with a shadow, an outline or the band behind it.
- Story size fills a phone screen for status updates; Square suits most posts.
- Your words and style are kept on this device so you can come back later. Your photo is not kept.
Questions people ask
How do I write a festival wish on my photo?
Add your photo, then pick a wish from the list: Pongal, Deepavali, Christmas, Ramzan, birthday, anniversary or new year, in English or Tamil. Tap any text to change the words and the name, then download or share.
Can I write in Tamil?
Yes. Type or paste Tamil text and pick a Tamil font such as Tamil serif, Tamil sans, Mukta Malar or Baloo Thambi. Tamil and English can sit in the same line.
How do I move, resize or turn the text?
Drag the text to move it. Drag the round handle at the corner to make it bigger or smaller, and the handle above it to turn it. On a phone, pinch with two fingers to resize and turn.
How do I make light text easy to read on a bright photo?
Add a shadow or an outline, turn on the band behind the text, or raise Darken photo a little so the words stand out.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything is drawn in your browser and your photo never leaves this device. Fonts other than Inter and Tamil serif are fetched only when you pick them.
