Instagram photo and video saver
Your photos, videos and captions from Instagram, saved in the order you posted them.
For your own posts, and those of family and friends who are happy for you to keep a copy. Photos and videos belong to the people who post them; please ask before you share or reuse them. sdev.in only helps you save what is already public and is not responsible for how saved copies are used.
How to save an Instagram post
Copy the post link
In the Instagram app, tap the three dots or the share arrow on a post or reel and choose Copy link. On a computer, copy the address bar.
Paste it here
Paste the link in the box. The post opens by itself: every photo and video in the same order as on Instagram, with the caption.
Save what you need
Pick a size and save one photo, save the video, or press Download all to get one zip with every file numbered in order and the caption as a text file.
Good to know
- Posts with many photos keep their order: files are numbered 01, 02, 03 with the account name in front.
- Best gives the photo exactly as it was posted. Medium and Small are lighter for sending on chat.
- Each photo also has its own size list, so you can save one picture at a different size.
- Links to the files work for an hour. After that, press Get post again.
- Ctrl+C or Cmd+C with nothing selected copies the caption.
Questions people ask
Whose photos can I save here?
Your own posts, and posts of family and friends who are happy for you to keep a copy. A photo or video belongs to the person who posted it. Saving it does not give you the right to post it again, sell it or use it in your work, so ask them first.
Why does it say the post was not found?
Only public posts can be read. Posts from private accounts, posts that were removed, and accounts that turned off embedding cannot be opened here. Stories and profile pages are not supported; paste the link of one post or reel.
What do the sizes mean?
Instagram keeps each photo in several sizes. Best is the photo as it was posted, the largest copy. Medium (about 1080 pixels wide) and Small (about 640 pixels) are lighter files that look the same on a phone and are quicker to send.
Are the photos in the zip in the right order?
Yes. Files are numbered 01, 02, 03 in the order they appear in the post, with the account name and the post code in each name, so they sort correctly in any folder. The caption is saved as a text file in the same zip.
Do I need to sign in to Instagram or here?
No. Nothing asks for your Instagram password, and you never need an account on this site. The page reads only what Instagram already shows to everyone.
I own a post. Can I stop it being saved here?
Yes. Write to us from the Contact page with your account name or the post link, and it will stop opening here. You can also make your account private, or turn off embedding in Instagram's privacy settings, which stops every site from showing your posts.
Is anything stored?
No. The link goes to the sdev.in server, which asks Instagram for the public post and passes the files to your browser. Links to the files stop working after an hour. Nothing is kept: no link, no photo, no caption.
