Wheel with 16 slices

Each slice is equally likely: the pick uses your device's secure random numbers before the wheel starts turning.

Colours

Your list and saved lists stay on this device only.

How to use the spin wheel

  1. Add your names

Type or paste names or choices, one per line, or press Class names or What to eat tonight for a ready list.

  2. Spin the wheel

Press Spin. The wheel slows down like a real one and stops on the pick, shown big in a pop-up with a little confetti.

  3. Spin again or share

Remove the winner for the next round, spin again, save the list for next time or copy a share link for your group.

Good to know

  • Write a name twice to give it two slices and twice the chance; untick Repeated names get more chances to merge repeats.
  • Turn on Remove the winner after each spin for a lucky draw where nobody wins twice.
  • With many names the labels get too small to read; the result pop-up always shows the full name.
  • Save list keeps a named copy on this device, handy for a class roll or a weekly team.
  • Shuffle and Sort A to Z only change the order on the wheel; every slice still has the same chance.

Questions people ask

Is the pick really random and fair?

Yes. Every pick uses your device's secure random number source, the same kind used for passwords, and a method that gives every entry exactly the same chance. Nothing is decided by how hard or when you press.

How many names can I add?

Up to 1000, one per line. Long lines are cut at 80 letters so they fit on the wheel.

Can I take the winner off the wheel?

Yes. Tick Remove the winner after each spin, or press Remove from wheel in the result pop-up.

Are the names uploaded or stored?

No. The list stays in your browser and is remembered only on this device. A share link carries the list inside the link itself, after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server.

How does the share link work?

Copy share link packs the list into the link. Whoever opens it sees the same wheel and can spin it on their own device.
