Good to know
- With No repeats on, each pick comes from the names not yet picked, so everyone gets a turn before anyone goes twice.
- Teams are dealt like cards after a shuffle, so team sizes never differ by more than one.
- Make new teams reshuffles everyone, handy when the first split does not feel right.
- The same list is shared with the spin wheel page, so you can switch tabs without typing it again.
Questions people ask
Is the pick really random and fair?
Yes. Every pick uses your device's secure random number source, the same kind used for passwords, and a method that gives every entry exactly the same chance. Nothing is decided by how hard or when you press.
How do I pick a name without repeats?
Keep No repeats until everyone is picked ticked. The count shows how many are left; Start over puts everyone back.
How are teams balanced?
The list is shuffled and then dealt one by one to each team in turn, so sizes differ by at most one person.
Can I pick a few names at once?
Yes. Set How many, for example 3 for a prize draw with three winners. Nobody is picked twice in one draw.
Are the names uploaded or stored?
No. The list stays in your browser and is remembered only on this device. A share link carries the list inside the link itself, after the # sign, which browsers never send to a server.
