How to use an OG image example

  1. Find a design

Filter by category, such as SaaS, shop, blog or event, and look through the finished examples.

  2. Open it in the maker

Press a card. The OG image maker opens with that layout and its sample words ready to edit.

  3. Make it yours

Type your title, add your logo and picture, pick your colour, then download the 1200×630 image.

Good to know

  • Keep the title short, about 60 characters. It has to read at the size of a chat thumbnail.
  • Use one strong picture: a product screen, a face or a dish. Busy pictures turn to noise when small.
  • Pick a colour from your logo. The maker sets backgrounds and buttons from it for you.
  • After you download, put the image's full https address in the og:image tag of your page.

Where people use it

  • Launch day for an app

Pick a product shot or bento grid and show your app screen when the link is shared.

  • A new blog post or newsletter

Choose a cover or newsletter layout so the post looks like a magazine page in chats.

  • A talk, meetup or ticket sale

Use the speaker or ticket card with the date and place in big, clear type.

  • A job opening

Share the role, place and pay in one card that people can read at a glance.

  • Check the result

After you add the image to your page, see how the preview looks on each app.

Questions people ask

Can I use these designs for my own site?

Yes. Press any card and the OG image maker opens with that design and its sample words. Type your own title, add your logo and picture, pick your colour and download a 1200×630 PNG or JPEG. It is free and there is no sign-up.

Are these real brands?

No. Every brand, name, logo and number here is made up, so you can see how a layout looks with real-looking words before you use it.

What size is an OG image?

1200×630 pixels, a 1.91:1 ratio. Every design here is drawn at that size and keeps its text inside the middle 1000×500, so nothing is cut when a chat app or a social site crops the edges.

Which design should I pick for my page?

Match the page. A product page reads best with a product shot or bento grid, a blog post with a cover or newsletter layout, a job post with a job opening card, an event with a speaker or ticket card. Filter by category to see the ones made for your kind of page.

Is anything uploaded when I use a design?

No. The design is drawn in your browser and the image is made there too. Pictures you pick from your device never leave it.
