How to remove pages from a PDF

  1. Add the PDF

    Choose a file or drop it on the box. The page count appears once it is read.

  2. List the pages to remove

    Type them as numbers and ranges, for example 1, 4-6. The status line shows how many pages remain.

  3. Remove and download

    Press Remove pages and download the new file, named with -pages-removed.

Good to know

  • Blank pages from a duplex scan are often every even page: type 2, 4, 6 and so on, or use Extract pages with the odd ones.
  • You cannot remove every page; at least one must remain.
  • Bookmarks and form fields are not carried over; page content, links and images are.
  • To keep just a few pages instead, Extract pages is quicker.

How do I delete a page from a PDF?

Add the file, type the page number in the Pages to remove box and press Remove pages. The file downloads without that page.

Can I remove several pages or a range?

Yes. Separate pages with commas and use a dash for ranges: 2, 5-7, 12 removes pages 2, 5, 6, 7 and 12. An open range like 20- removes page 20 to the end.

Does the file get smaller?

Usually, especially when the removed pages had large images. Fonts shared by remaining pages are kept, so the saving depends on the content.

I want to see the pages before choosing. Is there a visual way?

Yes. Organize PDF shows a thumbnail of every page with a delete button on each, and you can reorder at the same time.

Are my PDF files uploaded?

No. Every step runs inside your browser with the pdf-lib and pdf.js libraries. Files never leave your device, there is no size or count limit beyond your computer's memory, and nothing is stored when you close the tab.
