How to resize a photo and signature for an exam form
Pick your form type
Choose the kind of form, such as a bank exam or a passport form. Every size is filled in; check it against your notice and change any value.
Add your photo and signature
Choose a picture or take one with the camera. Drag the frame to place your face, use Zoom and Straighten, and the signature is trimmed to the ink.
Check the ticks and download
Each result shows its pixels and KB with a tick against the form's rules. Download each file, or both together as a zip.
Good to know
- Use a plain light wall behind you and face the light. Shadows and busy backgrounds make the file bigger and the photo less clear.
- Your face should fill about 70 to 80% of the photo's height, from chin to the top of the hair. Auto crop does this when the browser can find the face; otherwise drag the frame.
- Sign with a black pen on white paper, take the photo from straight above in daylight, and leave a little space around the signature.
- Keep the ticks green: when a value in your notice differs from the preset, type the notice's value. Every field can be changed.
- Some forms want the name and date the photo was taken printed below it. Tick Name and date below the photo and type them in.
- Very large phone photos are fine; they are shrunk safely before cropping and nothing is uploaded.
Questions people ask
Why was my photo or signature rejected by the form?
Almost always the file is outside the KB range, or the width and height in pixels are not what the form asks for. Some forms also refuse PNG when they ask for JPG. Pick your form type here, check the numbers against the notice and download: the file is made at the exact pixels and inside the KB range.
What is the difference between KB and pixels?
Pixels are the picture's width and height, like 200 × 230 px. KB is how big the file is on disk, like 38 KB. A form checks both. This tool sets the pixels exactly, then adjusts the JPG quality until the file lands between the smallest and largest KB allowed.
How do I turn cm into pixels?
Pixels = cm ÷ 2.54 × DPI. At 200 DPI, 3.5 cm is 276 px and 4.5 cm is 354 px; at 100 DPI they are 138 px and 177 px. Choose cm as the unit, type the DPI from the notice, and the pixel size is worked out for you.
How do I reduce my photo size to 50 KB?
Set Max KB to 50 (and Min KB to what the form says, for example 20). The tool tries the best quality first and lowers it step by step until the file is under 50 KB, so the photo stays as clear as the limit allows. It counts a KB both as 1000 and 1024 bytes, so the file passes either way.
What size should my signature be?
Many exam forms ask for about 140 × 60 px and 10 to 20 KB, others 3.5 × 1.5 cm or 4 × 2 cm. Sign with a black or blue pen on plain white paper, take a clear photo in daylight, then pick the form type. Trim to the ink and Make the paper pure white give a clean result.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser on this device. The saved file has no location or camera details in it.
