Questions people ask
Can I make a certificate or ID card for any institution?
Only for your own school, college, company or event, or with the issuer's permission. Making or using a fake or copied certificate, mark sheet or ID card is a crime, and the person who does it is responsible. sdev.in only provides the tool and does not check or vouch for any document.
Can I make certificates for a whole class or event at once?
Yes. Open the Names list, load your Excel or CSV file (one row per person) and press Download. Each person gets their own certificate. Lists of 10,000 rows or more work, because the files are made in the background in your browser.
Are my names and photos uploaded?
No. Your list, photos and design stay on your device and every file is made in your browser. Only if you sign in and choose to save a design or turn on online checking is that design or record kept on your account.
How do I put a different photo on each ID card?
Add a column to your list with each photo's file name, such as 23BCS042.jpg. In the Names list press Choose photos and pick the photos; they are matched by name. The photo box on the card then shows each person's own photo.
What happens to a very long name?
Text boxes shrink long text to fit, down to the smallest size you set, so a long name never spills out. The Check every row button lists anyone whose name had to be made smaller.
Which file should I choose for printing?
PDF at Print quality (300 dpi). For ID cards, badges and visiting cards choose Print sheets: many cards on each A4 page with cut marks, and the backs line up when printed double-sided.
