Questions people ask

How is the rasi palan worked out?

By traditional rules. The Moon moves to a new rasi every two and a half days. The house it sits in, counted from your rasi, sets the tone of the day. Jupiter and Saturn set the tone of the year.

What is chandrashtamam?

The days when the Moon is in the 8th house from your rasi. People keep big decisions for another day and take it easy. It comes once a month and lasts about two and a half days.

Should I pick my rasi or my star?

Your star is better if you know it. It adds tarabalam, the strength of the day's star for you, and finds your rasi too. Your rasi is the Moon's rasi at your birth, not the sun sign.

Is the palan the same everywhere?

Almost. The Moon's place is the same for everyone, but the day starts at sunrise, so pick your city for the right day.

Is anything I pick sent anywhere?

No. Your rasi and star are kept only on this device and everything is worked out in your browser.
