Fixing screen recording problems

Most recordings work on the first try. When one doesn't, it's usually one of these.

   Step 1 of 5

   No sound from the page

   Record This tab with Tab sound on. For a screen or window, tick the share-sound option in the browser's share window; some systems only offer it for tabs.

   Step 2 of 5

   The camera or mic is blocked

   Turn the switch off and on again to reopen the permission page, and click Allow. Close other apps that are using the camera.

   Step 3 of 5

   The recording is black

   Some apps and protected videos block recording. Try recording the tab instead of the window, or the whole screen.

   Step 4 of 5

   Only the first tab was recorded

   This tab records the tab you started in. To show several tabs or apps, record Screen or window.

   Step 5 of 5

   Exporting is slow

   Pick a smaller size or Small file quality. Keep the editor tab open until it finishes.
