Laylat al-Qadr blessings and prayers (32)
May Allah grant you the blessings of Laylat al-Qadr, a night better than a thousand months.
O Allah, You are forgiving and You love to forgive, so forgive us. May this dua be on your lips tonight.
As the Quran says, the Night of Power is better than a thousand months. May every moment of it count for you.
May the angels descend on your home tonight with peace until the break of dawn.
May Allah accept your prayers, your fasting and your charity in these last ten nights.
On this night of decree, may Allah write for you health, guidance and forgiveness.
May your sujood tonight be long, your tears sincere and your heart light by morning.
May Allah free us from our sins and our worries on this blessed night.
Seek it in the odd nights. May Allah let you find it, and find you in prayer when it comes.
May the Quran you recite tonight be a light for you in this life and the next.
Peace it is, until the rising of the dawn. May that peace fill your heart tonight.
May Allah answer the prayer you have been too shy to say out loud.
On the night the Quran first came down, may it come down into our hearts again.
May Allah decree for you a year of ease, halal provision and people who love you for His sake.
May your charity on this night be multiplied beyond counting.
In the quiet of the last ten nights, may you find the closeness to Allah you have been seeking.
May Allah forgive our parents, have mercy on those we have lost, and guide our children.
Do not let this night pass without asking. Allah is listening. May He give you the best of what you ask.
May Allah make us among those whose names are written for mercy tonight.
May your worship tonight be accepted, even the small prayers whispered between tasks.
O Allah, let us reach Laylat al-Qadr and be among its people. Ameen.
May this night wash away the year's heaviness and leave your heart clean and calm.
If you find the night, remember us in your duas. We remember you in ours.
May Allah grant peace to every home that stays awake in prayer tonight.
May the mercy of this night reach the sick, the lonely and those far from home.
May Allah accept from you the prayers you made standing, the tears you shed in sujood and the charity no one saw.
Tonight the doors of mercy are wide open. May you walk through them with your whole family.
May Allah heal what is broken in your heart and in your body on this night of peace.
May the Night of Power give you the strength to keep the good habits of Ramadan all year.
May Allah decree for our children faith, good friends and safe roads.
On this night, may every prisoner of worry be set free by the mercy of Allah.
May your name be written tonight among those Allah is pleased with.

About Laylat al-Qadr
Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Power or Night of Decree, is the night Muslims believe the Quran was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The Quran says it is better than a thousand months, and that angels come down on it with peace until dawn.
Its exact date is not known. Muslims seek it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan, and many hold special prayers on the 27th night, which begins at sunset on the 26th day of the fast.
Families stay awake in prayer at home and in mosques, read the Quran, make long duas and give charity. A dua the Prophet taught for this night is: O Allah, You are forgiving and love to forgive, so forgive me.
In Turkey it is Kadir Gecesi, in South Asia Shab-e-Qadr, and in Malaysia and Indonesia Lailatul Qadar. Mosques are full late into the night across the Muslim world.
How people celebrate Laylat al-Qadr
- Night prayers (qiyam and tahajjud)
- Reading the whole Quran
- Long personal duas
- Giving charity
- Itikaf, staying in the mosque
- Praying for family and the dead
How to wish well
- This is a night of worship, not a party. Keep wishes devotional: a prayer, a line of the Quran, or a request to be remembered in duas.
- Remember me in your duas is the most common and the most loved message on this night.
- Send wishes in the evening, before the night prayers, so they do not interrupt worship late at night.
- Do not say Happy Laylat al-Qadr. A blessed Laylat al-Qadr or Shab-e-Qadr Mubarak is better.
