  • Happy Aoleang! Six days of feasting. My stomach is ready, my belt is not.

  • The log drum is so loud, even my sleepy cousin woke up.

  • My new year promise: dance more. My knees did not agree.

  • Happy Aoleang! I came for the dance and stayed for the food.

  • I tried to beat the log drum. The drum won.

  • Spring is here, the fields are sown, and I am on snack duty.

  • Happy Aoleang! Grandmother still dances better than all of us.

  • Six days of festival. My phone is full, my heart is fuller.

  • My plan for Aoleang: eat, dance, sleep, repeat for six days.

  • Happy Aoleang! Even the birds are singing louder this week.
